Favorite New Sale Items

Like so many others undoubtedly are, I am in the process of perfecting my wishlist.  Granted, a lot of these I will probably just end up buying for myself (or, ahem, already have).

I’m getting a ton of wear out of my Mike & Chris Weston Jacket (was $400, now $320, $224 with GOGLAM):

I am in love with tortoiseshell (or, I should say, fauxtoiseshell), so I pretty much must have these Oh Deer! Palace pumps (were $154.95, now $85.22):

Sequined shoes are a must for holiday parties.  I think my favorite color in Oh Deer’s Gellato Pump is the gold, but they are available in a plethora of colors ($129.95, but save $30 on all shoe orders over $100 for today only):

Speaking of sequins, this Burning Torch scarf (also available in charcoal) combines comfort and a little bit of sparkle (brand new at $199, $139.30 with GOGLAM):

I love the vintage glamour of By Francine’s Beaded Top (was $284, now $220, $154 with GOGLAM):

This Phillip Lim Rosebud Sleeve Turtleneck is darling and marked down 60% to $139:

I am going to have to break down and get Rami Kashou’s Rose Top in Wine (new at $318, $222.60 with GOGLAM):

If I could successfully carry out my lollipop head diet, I would totally get these AG cigarette dark jeans (were $145, now $73.95):

Love these nerdy chic Sigerson Morrison peep toe pumps (were $395, now $197.50):

I’ve been a fan of these quilted Delman flats for a long time, and I might have to give in now that they’re $125.40 (originally $315):

Wendy Katlen’s Off Shoulder Dress in Black is perfect for all the upcoming holiday parties, but classic enough to become a closet staple (new at $273, $191.10 with GOGLAM code):

This Goldenbleu patent clutch is adorable, and only $79 (originally $350):

Daily Obsession: Cardigans

‘Tis the season for warmer clothing, and I’ve always been a big fan of the cardigan.  Cardigans tend to be more form flattering and curve friendly than sweaters, and generally allow more options for accessorizing (i.e. belts and statement pins).  Here are some of my picks as I scour the internet for more of my knitwear option of choice.

It was a splurge, but I practically live in my Burning Torch Black Forest Cashmere Cardigan (am actually wearing it as I type this):

Goodness knows I love my Burning Torch cardigans, so I’m also eyeing this one…I have also been looking for a structured white blazer to replace a favorite recently retired one, and I like how this cashmere blazer/cardigan is kind of the comfy, slightly more relaxed version:

I’m also looking for a basic long cardigan that I can belt that is hopefully not too dowdy (as can sometimes be the case with long buttoned cardigans), and this Topshop one is a pretty good candidate:

This Free People grandpa cardigan has a slightly sexier shape with its curved plunging neckline:

A non-closing long cardigan like this one might be a better option, however, and a little more flattering (especially once the waist is cinched):

Another nice open shape:

I love this Ivana Helsinki cardigan’s combination of peter pan collar and banded puff sleeves:

This cardigan, with its tiered ruffles, skirts the line between perfectly feminine and overly girlie:

Ditto to this, although I am kind of in love (especially with the black piping details):

This one is probably a safer bet, with its single layer of ruffles and darker color:

Speaking of piping, I am obsessed with this Jamison blazer:

I also love our Jamison cashmere blazer’s nerdy chic:

I like this Margarita Saplala cardigan’s built-in belt and silk drape detail:

Bryant Park West Photos!

For those of you who didn’t make Bryant Park West this past weekend, here are some photos.  Bryant Park West was a fashion show in Sonoma benefiting Operation Youth, a local nonprofit organization, at the gorgeous Jacuzzi Winery (Sarah, who works at Maneater, was the mastermind behind it all).  Rami Kashou (who was actually one of my first designers when I launched the site three years ago), was a gracious special VIP guest, and had his exclusive collection shown during the final runway.

More photos to come next week…

Check out Julianne Hough at the AMA’s last night in Rami Kashou’s Heidi Dress.  I love it in the off-white color, and her silver gladiators are a good match.

Now, ordinarily I would never post an upskirt photo on this blog, but amidst all my current holiday body loathing, I take comfort in the fact that even tiny little Eva Longoria feels the need to put on a Spanx sometimes.

Daily Obsession: Embellished Ballet Flats

As usual, I am on a shoe rampage, although I am trying to focus on practical (read: semi-comfortable) choices. Since it’s winter, I’ve been all over boots, but woman cannot live on boots alone. My issue with ballet flats is that they can be so uninspired if you go the perfunctory route, so I hunted down some embellished flats that, at the very least, can serve as conversation pieces.

A slight disclaimer: while I have nothing against Tory Burch flats (I own a pair myself), I am consciously omitting them because we’ve all seen the look.

These Lilly Pulitzers, with their lion door-knocker detail, were actually the initial inspiration for this post:

The shape and green stone make these Giuseppe Zanotti’s reminiscent of 24K vintage jewelry (I’ll wait until they’re lower than $556, though):

I love the richness of these Lilly Pulitzers, with their faux-tortoiseshell button detail and slim shape:

The combination of the black patent leather, t-strap, 3-D stone detail, and peep toe make these Fendi’s pretty drool-worthy:

Bows can oftentimes be overly cutesy on flats, but the ones on these Kate Spades have a nice structured shape (and the moccasin-like stitched details on the toe balance out the bow nicely):

A more sophisticated bow flat from Delman:

I think these adorably preppie/nerdy Castaners might be my favorite bow flat, though:

I am a sucker for knot details, and these peep toe Louboutin’s make them look fabulously expensive (because, uh, they are):

The combination of the grey suede and mother-of-pearl button “flower” on these Tibi flats is quite pretty:
